Sometimes, a brilliant idea begins with a single tiny spark.
How It All Began
The roots of GLITZHAIR lie in the USA, where Fairy Hair, Hair Tinsel, and Hair Sparkles have long been an essential part of the beauty and event scene. Dedicated Hair Tinsel artists, salons, trained stylists, and a vibrant community – from kids to international superstars like Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Zara Larsson – have been embracing the trend for over a decade.
The very first encounter with this magical world happened when the first sparkling strands shimmered in her own hair and her daughter's hair.
Admiring glances and beaming smiles soon followed, along with the same question asked time and time again:
“What is that sparkle in your hair?”
From Passion to Expertise
What began as a fascination quickly grew into pure devotion. Instead of taking shortcuts, every step was taken with meticulous care. The intricate tying technique of American Fairy Hair stylists was independently mastered, perfected, and elevated to new heights.
It quickly became clear:
Hair Tinsel can only truly enchant when quality, technique, and aesthetics harmonize perfectly. Overly thick fibers, artificial shine, or poor durability from sloppy tying techniques were never an option.
And right from the start, there was the dream of bringing our own HairLights to Germany – at a whole new level of quality compared to the mass-market Hair Tinsel already available.
GLITZHAIR Germany
From this conviction, GLITZHAIR Germany was born – Germany's very first premium Hair Tinsel brand. A brand that captures an international trend and reimagines it with expertise, chic style, and high standards.
In parallel, another beloved dimension emerged quite organically: Events.
Whether it’s parties, weddings, shows, or exclusive formats – the GLITZHAIR service consistently delivers genuine wow-moments at every occasion.

Behind the brand is Maria Zapp – a solo entrepreneur with a close connection to the community and a clear vision for quality and innovation.

Every single strand was intensively tested before production: knotted countless times, straightened, curled, washed, and even dyed – all to ensure it shines in every situation and maintains its exceptional quality.

Our color palette sparkles like a sea of diamonds. As soon as the light hits the strands, every shade comes to life, creating an enchanting shimmer that is pure magic. Guaranteed to deliver the ultimate WOW factor and turn heads!
Ultra-soft, fine premium quality
Our HairLights are crafted from high-grade polyester fiber that feels silky-soft, feather-light, and completely natural. Each strand is around 120 cm long and only 0.2–0.3 mm wide. The strands are heat-resistant up to 210°C, colorfast, and safe for washing, blow-drying, and heat styling.
Gentle knotting technique
The GLITZHAIR knotting technique combines two specially developed methods, perfectly tailored to different hair textures. The result: ultra-fine, exceptionally durable knots that brushes glide right over, staying securely in the hair without putting any stress on it.
