Many standard wholesale hair tinsels are thicker, stiffer, and unevenly made. They often look bulky in the hair, are tricky to style, and quickly lose their sparkle.

GLITZHAIR HairLights were specially crafted for professional salon use – created to move and feel just like natural hair while delivering a lasting, breathtaking sparkle.

All GLITZHAIR HairLights are heat-resistant up to 210 °C (410 °F) and can be gently curled and straightened – just like your own hair. Washing and blow-drying are a breeze, too. When massaging in rich conditioners or oils, just be gentle around the roots so the fine knots don't loosen. Brushing is completely fine, but when using fine-toothed combs, take extra care and begin combing just below the knots.

You can even tone and color your hair – your Hair Tinsel will keep its brilliant color and luminous shine throughout!

There are several fabulous ways to apply them. 

1. We recommend gently knotting the glitter strands into the hair using the GLITZHAIR crochet hook technique. A custom tutorial is gladly available upon request!

2. You can also easily tie the Hair Tinsel in yourself using your fingers, or invite a friend to do it for you! A chic tutorial will be available on the blog soon.

3. When you are short on time, HairLights Clip-Ins are your ultimate go-to! Simply part your hair, clip them in, and shine bright.

4. Even though we do not recommend it, Hair Tinsel can also be attached to the hair using micro beads.

4. Other techniques, such as using glue or adhesives, are generally not recommended.

It all depends on your styling choice:

• Clip-Ins: perfect for a day, an unforgettable night out, or whenever you crave an instant pop of sparkle!

• Tied-in HairLights: last up to several weeks when professionally applied

By the way, you can easily combine both styles!

As a rule of thumb: Every color works beautifully in every hair color – each creating its own unique vibe.
Light shades create a soft, ethereal shimmer, vibrant colors add statement highlights, and dark shades bring rich, chic depth.

 Yes, absolutely, as long as they are applied gently! For both kids and adults, we recommend skipping beads or glue. For any mom who wants to add a quick dash of sparkle to her child's hair, HairLights can be effortlessly tied in with fingers or worn as Clip-Ins.

Yes – properly applied, it reliably lasts through multiple washes and seamlessly accompanies your daily routine. The key is correct application, which you can do yourself using my tutorials or have done by a professional in a salon.

Absolutely. Hair tinsel is designed not to restrict your daily life. While sleeping, it blends seamlessly into the hair – without pulling or feeling uncomfortable. It simply becomes part of your hairstyle. To protect your natural hair and the hair tinsel, hair should be braided or protected with a silk bonnet before going to sleep.

When applied correctly: no. It is usually integrated into the hair without chemical processes, using a knotting technique or professional extension methods. It is recommended to avoid glue, beads, or heat during application.

Application is usually surprisingly quick. Depending on the desired intensity, it takes anywhere from just a few minutes to about half an hour. This makes it perfect as an add-on service in everyday salon operations.

When using the knotting technique, the glitter strands usually shed naturally with the individual hair they are attached to, anywhere from hours to weeks later.
